Here are four YCT practice tests derived from the official mock tests provided by Hanban. They include a listening section, a reading section, and a writing section. For YCT1 to YCT3, there are only two sections, but YCT4 has three sections including the writing section. YCT are the most important and widely accepted way of grading a child’s Chinese language progress, if the child is learning Mandarin as a secondary language.

YCT1 mock test
At this level, your child should know 80 words.
YCT2 mock test
At this level, your child should know 150 words, comparable to HSK1.
YCT3 mock test
At this level, your child should know 300 words, comparable to HSK2.
YCT4 mock test
At this level, your child should know 600 words, comparable to HSK3.
YCT tests and GoEast online Chinese classes for kids
We do YCT tests to check if children have learned materials in our courses, corresponding to each level. In our course, we pay to speaking and listening. And we also have a writing section in each unit to help the students master the basic characters.
