The HSK 7-9 Exam is finally here
You may have seen our HSK 2023 Exam dates article, but 2023 only includes the exam dates for HSK 1 to 6. But! The very first HSK7-9 exam will take place on November 26th, 2022 and you may participate in quite a few countries. It’s a good start! We have collected the newest and most detailed information for you.
To make it clear: The HSK 7-9 exam is only one test: the result will determine whether you are certified HSK7, HSK8, or HSK9.
What does the HSK 7-9 Test look like?
HSK 7 – 9 exams have a total of 98 questions, and it takes approximately 210 minutes to complete.
The test is divided into five sections: listening, reading, writing, translation, and speaking. Each part focuses on one language skill, supplemented by other language skills. Each section is divided into 2 or 3 parts.
And for the translation part, you can choose the original source language from the following five languages: English, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanse and Korean, which you need to decide when you sign up.

What does the test day look like?
It is a long test, so it breaks into 2 sections and there is a long break in between. A typical test day would be:

Who shall participate in HSK 7-9 Test?
The official website indicates that HSK 7-9 Test is for high-level learners of Chinese as a second language. This includes students studying in China for Master’s or Doctoral degrees, Chinese majors from various countries, and those personnel who are using Chinese to carry out academic research, economic, cultural and technological exchanges.
We suggest any students who want to achieve a C2 or bilingual level try the test.
How and when to register?

After login, choose the HSK(7-9) 级.
You are not able to sign up yet because all the test centers are applying to add this test to their system. However, the registration deadline is Nov. 12th, 24:00 Beijing time. Therefore, you are suggested to login in every day to check if you are keen to do it. Or you can follow GoEast, we will give you updates.
How much is the fee?
It varies a bit in different countries. But it will be the price of a combination of the previous HSK 6 test fee + Advanced HSKK test fee, therefore in mainland China it shall be 650+350=1000RMB.
