Chinese abbreviations & acronyms
There are a lot of Chinese abbreviations & acronyms in use, mostly used on WeChat or other Chinese social media. They’re only used in text, so it’s not like you can reply “XSWL” to someone’s joke (in this case, you’d just say: 笑死我了xiào sǐ wǒ le).
Not all these Chinese abbreviations & acronyms will be understood by everyone. Senior people may not know what a 朋友圈péngyǒu quān is, and perhaps some teenagers will not understand DJLL (顶级流量 dǐngjí liúliàng). Although many are very conventional, such as XSWL.

QSWL | 气死我了 | Qì sǐ wǒle | Used when someone is very angry, but often also used ironically |

XJJ / XJ | 小姐姐 / 小姐 | xiǎo jiějiě | Means "young lady" or "miss", used in a bit of a flirting or ironic way |
MM | 妹妹 / 美美 | Mèimei / Měiměi | Usually describes a pretty girl |
ZQSG | 真情实感 | zhēnqíng shígǎn | "True feelings", usually when you fall in love with an idol |
SZD | 是真的 | Shì zhēn de | "It's real" |
NSDD | 你说得对 / 你是对的 / 您是对的 | nǐ shuō dé duì / nǐ shì duì de / nín shì duì de | "You spoke correctly" or "You're right" |
XXJ | 小学鸡 | xiǎoxué jī | Literally means "Primary school chicken", but used when people are being childish or immature |
SK | 生快 | shēng kuài | The laziest way to wish someone a happy birthday, as abbreviation for "shēngrì kuàilè 生日快乐", similar to "HBD" standing for "Happy birthday" in English |
PYQ | 朋友圈 | péngyǒu quān | WeChat moments (timeline) is called "朋友圈" in Chinese |
YYDS | 永远滴神 | yǒngyuǎn dī shén | the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) |
DJLL | 顶级流量 | dǐngjí liúliàng | Literally means "Top network traffic", used to describe the most famous celebrities |
CP粉 | CP粉 | CPFěn | CP stands for "couple" and "粉“ for "粉丝" (fans), so fans of (mostly) famous couples |

NB | 牛逼 | Niú bī | Let Quentin Tarantino explain you the literal meaning, but this means “Cool" or "The best" |
NMSL | 你妈死了 | Nǐ mā sǐle | Your mom is dead |
BB | 逼逼 | Bī bī | "You're talking shit" (although depending on the context, BB can also mean "Baby"). If you see "别bb" it means "Stop talking shit" |
TMD | 他妈的 | Tā mā de | "Oh damn" |
